Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo expressed his gratitude to the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) management for their support during his time as the franchise’s bowling coach, as he transitions to his new role with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). KKR recently announced Bravo as their mentor for the 2025 IPL season, succeeding Gautam Gambhir.
Bravo, who turns 41 next month, retired from all forms of cricket following a groin injury sustained in the Caribbean Premier League. After stepping away from International Cricket in 2021 and the IPL in 2022, he shifted focus to coaching, including stints with CSK and Afghanistan.
In a video shared by CSK, Bravo thanked the CSK management for their blessings as he moves on to mentor the Knight Riders. To all CSK fans worldwide, he asked for your continued support in this new chapter.
Bravo’s journey with KKR marks his second coaching role in the IPL. He joined CSK in 2011, winning four IPL titles in various roles and becoming the third-highest wicket-taker in IPL history with 183 wickets. Excited for his new role, Bravo shared that he has great respect for how the Knight Riders operate and feel this is the perfect platform to transition into mentoring and coaching.
