Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant’s return to the top 10 in the ICC Test Rankings and the impressive movements of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jasprit Bumrah were significant highlights in the latest update. Pant, making his Test comeback, re-entered the rankings at sixth place after scoring a century in the second innings during India’s win against Bangladesh in Chennai. Jaiswal climbed to fifth with 751 rating points, bolstered by a half-century in the same match.

Rohit Sharma remains in the top 10 but dropped five places to 10th after scoring under ten runs in both innings, bringing his rating to 716 points. Virat Kohli also fell five spots to 12th after a disappointing performance, managing only 6 and 17 runs. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill’s impressive century propelled him up five positions to 14th.

On the bowling front, Jasprit Bumrah maintained his second-place ranking with 854 points after claiming five wickets in the Chennai Test. Ravichandran Ashwin holds the top spot with 871 points, thanks to his six-wicket haul and a crucial 113 runs. Ravindra Jadeja also moved up to sixth, continuing to excel as an all-rounder, with both he and Ashwin leading in their category. Notably, Sri Lanka’s Prabath Jayasuriya jumped five places to eighth after a stellar performance against New Zealand.
