J&K’s Second Victory
Chasing a target of 202, J&K reached 204/6, thanks to contrasting fifties by Vivrant Sharma (60 off 133 balls) and Abid Mushtaq (53 off 53 balls). The duo added an unbroken 92-run partnership for the seventh wicket, recovering from precarious positions at 48/3 and 112/6. Aqib Nabi (4/54), Abid Mushtaq (3/41), and Yudhvir Singh (3/39) had earlier bundled Tripura out for 211. J&K now stands second in the group with 23 points, while Tripura remains fifth with 12 points.
Odisha Tastes First Win
Odisha defeated Maharashtra by three wickets in Cuttack, securing their first victory of the season. Chasing 130, Odisha managed 130/7, with Govind Poddar contributing a crucial 48 runs. Sumit Sharma’s five-wicket haul (5/46) played a key role in restricting Maharashtra to 166 in their second innings. Odisha moves to sixth place with 10 points, while Maharashtra remains seventh with 8 points.
Mumbai Poised for Victory
Mumbai’s pacers Mohit Avasthi (4/48) and Shardul Thakur (3/39) dismantled Services, bowling them out for 182 in their second innings. Mumbai, chasing 135, ended the day at 24/1. Ayush Mhatre’s century (116) had earlier set up Mumbai’s strong position. With 16 points, Mumbai remains third in the standings.
