Hitaashee Bakshi, fresh off a playoff loss in the last leg, is determined to bounce back in the 13th leg of the tournament at Golden Greens Golf Club this week. After a strong season with two wins, Hitaashee lost to Vani Kapoor at the DLF Golf and Country Club. She will be competing against Vidhatri Urs, a three-time winner this season, who is eager to claim her fourth title after finishing third last week.
The competition features 41 players, including five amateurs, and key contenders like Gaurika Bishnoi, Ridhima Dilawari, Amandeep Drall, Neha Tripathi, Sneha Singh, Shweta Mansingh, and Seher Atwal. This event is crucial as it precedes the prestigious Women’s Indian Open, the only Ladies European Tour event in the region. Hitaashee currently leads the Order of Merit, closely followed by Sneha Singh, the 2023 winner, and Amandeep Drall, who aims to regain her form after being a runner-up in 2022. Both Hitaashee and Sneha have two wins this season, while Vidhatri stands out with three victories. Additionally, Ridhima and Seher are returning from competing at the La Sella Open in Spain, looking to leverage that experience. Among amateurs, Anvvi Dahhiya is one to watch after her impressive fourth-place finish in the previous leg.
