Third edition of Delhi Premier League to kick-off on sep 26

The third edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) will kick off on September 26 at the Ambedkar Stadium. Organized by the Delhi Soccer Association (DSA), the DPL is the top football tournament in Delhi, and a key part of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

Over the past two editions, the league has been a vital platform for emerging football talent in India. This season, 12 teams will compete, including defending champions Garhwal Heroes FC and last year’s runner-up, Royal Rangers FC. Their rivalry, along with the entry of newly promoted Hindustan FC, United Bharat FC, and National United SC, promises an exciting competition.

The opening ceremony will take place at the iconic Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Stadium, drawing football fans from across Delhi. The venue will be transformed into a lively hub for football enthusiasts.

As one of North India’s leading leagues, the DPL aims to raise the standard of football through a blend of talent, competition, and sportsmanship. This season is set to celebrate the passion and spirit of Delhi’s football community.

The 12 participating teams are Hindustan FC, Royal Rangers FC, Indian Airforce, United Bharat FC, Friends United FC, Vatika FC, Garhwal Heroes FC, Sudeva Delhi FC, Delhi FC, CISF Protectors, Tarun Sangha FC, and National United SC.
