Coldplay has announced their ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ will come to India, and fans are excited to see the band perform live. The concerts in Mumbai are set for January 18 and 19, 2025, at DY Patil Sports Stadium. Due to overwhelming demand, a third show has been added for January 21.
The announcement was made on Coldplay’s official X account, stating, ‘Due to phenomenal demand, a third Mumbai date has been added at DY Patil Stadium for January 21, 2025.’ Fans have been eagerly waiting for the band’s return since their last performance in 2016, and the excitement is palpable, with many sharing humorous memes on social media. One fan jokingly shared their office planning on AutoCAD to analyze the seating layout.
Tickets for the new show went on sale on September 22, 2024, via BookMyShow. Concertgoers can look forward to an incredible lineup, featuring songs from their Album of the Year-nominated ‘Music of the Spheres’, as well as popular hits like ‘Yellow,’ ‘The Scientist,’ and ‘Viva La Vida.’ Additionally, Coldplay will offer a limited number of ‘Infinity Tickets’ for approximately ₹2000 each, available for purchase in pairs starting November 22, 2024. Since its launch in March 2022, the tour has sold over 10 million tickets globally.
