President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the 16th Assembly of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) on September 24, 2024. The four-day event will include discussions on the role of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in promoting transparency and accountability. Girish Chandra Murmu, the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, will assume the ASOSAI chair for 2024-2027. Delegates from 42 countries will participate in a symposium on Digital Public Infrastructure and Gender Divide. The assembly will focus on enhancing public audit practices and strengthening governance in Asia.
