Revenue Minister Krishna Byregowda addressed the media on Thursday at the KPCC Office, criticizing opposition parties BJP and JD(S) for making false claims against the Congress government. Byregowda accused them of repeating the same falsehoods to persuade the public of their validity.

He highlighted ongoing land-related issues in the state, pointing out that several cases involving opposition parties are under investigation and have been forwarded to the prosecution. Byregowda also criticized the Governor for what he described as biased behavior, hindering investigations.

A specific land dispute in Bangalore city was discussed. In 1976, the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) acquired 1 acre and 11 gunta of land for a layout. By 1978, the acquisition was complete. However, in 2007, a person named Dasaiah Rajasekharaiah, who was not connected to the original land owner, requested de-notification of the land from then-Chief Minister Kumaraswamy. The origins of Rajasekharaiah remain unclear.

Despite a note from Jyoti Ramalingam, the then Chief Secretary, stating that the land did not merit de-notification, former Chief Minister Yediyurappa wrote in 2009 that the land had been abandoned by the acquisition.

Health Minister Dinesh Gundurao, Minister Santosh Lad, former MLC Narayana Swamy, KPCC Media and Communication Division President Ramesh Babu, Social Media President Vijay Mattikatti, and KPCC Political and Media Secretary Deepak Thimmaiah attended the media conference.
