Gadag

A district-level Janata Darshan program was held in Gadag city under the leadership of Minister HK Patil. The event took place at the district administration building, where a special counter was established to receive Taluka-wise applications and public complaints.

The program was attended by a large number of people, including Rona MLA GS Patil, Deputy Commissioner Govinda Reddy, and Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer S Bharat. During the event, an elderly woman drew attention with her actions. She submitted a petition and shook hands with Minister HK Patil and MLA GS Patil.

When she approached Deputy Commissioner Govinda Reddy, who had a glass of water in his right hand, she insisted on shaking hands with his right hand. Deputy Commissioner Reddy then extended his left hand, which prompted the woman to comment on the gesture. She also placed her hand on the head of a police officer present for security and scolded him for telling her not to bless.

The incident was noted by those present, and the grandmother, Bhairamma from Rachuteswara Nagar, was pleased when she was informed that the space she requested in Amma’s Mandir would be allotted quickly.
