A case has been registered in the Bantwal Town police station against former President of Bantwala Municipality, Muhammad Sharif for allegedly leaking a voice message through social media, mentioning the name of Hindu organization leader Sharan Pumpwell. The audio of the challenge to stop the festival procession has gone viral and a case has been registered in this regard.
A case has been registered on the basis of a complaint filed by pro-Hindu organizations at the Bantwala Town police station. The former President of the municipality, Muhammad Sharif, has been accused of threatening Pumpwell through audio. It was stated in the complaint to the police station that legal action should be taken in this regard.
Bantwa MLA Rajesh Naik asked the District Superintendent of Police Yathish to arrest and take legal action against Mohammed Sharif, who leaked a voice message on social media mentioning the name of Sharan Pumpwell. Rajesh Naik has alleged that Congress worker and former municipal President Muhammad Sharif tried to disturb the peace in Bantwala. MLA Rajesh Naik informed through a press release that the police department has taken this seriously and informed the SP to take action.
