Must read

Roopa Rao, known for her acclaimed film ‘Gantumoote’ and her recent production ‘Kenda’, directed by Sahadev Kelavadi, is stepping back into the director’s chair for her latest project, ‘Gochara’. The film has already sparked curiosity with its mysterious and travel-themed poster.

The title ‘Gochara’ has led to speculation about a possible connection to Rao’s earlier work. While details about the storyline remain a mystery, the poster hints at a narrative centered around travel. Sharing her enthusiasm on social media, Roopa Rao stated, ‘This is one of the most challenging stories that has occurred to me so far. ‘Gochara’, the title also showed itself. Sharing this with my extended world here as a sign of my commitment to the universe, that we will make this film happen with complete surrender soon. ‘You can find only when you move’.’

‘Gantumoote’ delved into life’s struggles from a female perspective, while ‘Kenda’ offered a political satire with a crime twist, earning praise at various film festivals. ‘Gochara’ is expected to bring a fresh narrative to the table.

Currently, the team has finalized the locations and the storyline, and they are in the process of casting the remaining roles. Produced under Ameyukti Studios by Roopa Rao and Sahadev Kelavadi, the film will also see Kelavadi taking on the role of cinematographer.
