Singer Jasleen Royal has filed a lawsuit in the Bombay High Court against music label T-Series, lyricist Raj Ranjodh, and singer Guru Randhawa, alleging copyright infringement. Jasleen claims that her original music compositions were used without authorization in the song ‘All Right’ from the album ‘G Thing.’
According to a statement, Jasleen created these compositions in 2022 for a potential promotional track for the Ajay Devgn film ‘Runway 34.’ She shared the music with lyricist Raj Ranjodh through calls and messages, and it was later incorporated into a scratch version. Although Guru Randhawa, known for hits like ‘Patola’ and ‘High Rated Gabru,’ was considered for the vocals, Jasleen was not satisfied with the scratch version recorded by another Punjabi singer, causing the collaboration to end.
In 2023, Jasleen discovered that T-Series had released ‘All Right,’ featuring Guru Randhawa, which included her original music without her consent or credit. Jasleen, known for her songs ‘Din Shagna Da’ and ‘Nachde Ne Saare,’ decided to take legal action to protect her work.
The lawsuit filed by Jasleen asserts that her copyright and moral rights were violated. Her attorneys have obtained an interim court order requiring T-Series to remove the song from all streaming platforms. Additionally, Raj Ranjodh and Guru Randhawa are prohibited from using or exploiting the song in any way.
