In their third meeting within a month, the I-League Task Force Committee, which includes club owners and senior officials, expressed full support for the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) ‘open arm approach’. This strategy aims to foster inclusive growth and build a stronger league structure for the future.
The meeting, chaired by AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey, saw key representatives from the Task Force, including Pradhyum Reddy (Dempo SC), Shamsher Singh (Namdhari FC), Ranjit Bajaj (Delhi FC), and Kishore S Reddy (SC Bengaluru), gather at the Football House. They praised AIFF for ensuring equal representation of clubs in shaping the league’s direction.
This was the third such meeting in the last 30 days as the new season approaches in October. AIFF President Chaubey expressed satisfaction with the progress and emphasized the importance of club participation in the league’s redevelopment. Ranjit Bajaj noted the increased sense of ownership among clubs and welcomed AIFF’s transparent approach, acknowledging the long-term nature of the rebuilding process.
By mid-September, the Task Force will present detailed reports and proposals covering venue infrastructure, broadcast plans, budgets, fixtures, and marketing. Uday Singh of Namdhari FC highlighted the importance of broadcaster support for the league’s success and thanked AIFF President Chaubey for his engagement.
Representatives from several clubs joined the meeting virtually, with AIFF Secretary General Anilkumar P and Deputy Secretary General M Satyanarayan attending in-person.
