Sincere efforts are being made to address ongoing issues at Kuvempu University, including problems with student enrollment, delays in issuing mark sheets, and difficulties with the centralized UUCMS portal. A progress review meeting highlighted these concerns.
The university is experiencing financial trouble, which has been emphasized as a serious issue. It was suggested that administration should follow university rules and seek consensus. Financial matters are to be handled promptly, with an open invitation for further discussion if needed.
The Vice Chancellor announced that the university will seek development through CSR funds and other initiatives rather than relying solely on government funds. Proposals have been sent to the government for the affiliation of first-grade colleges. Of 35 applications, 17 have been approved, but 18 colleges cannot start without their affiliations.
Delays have been noted in providing results, largely due to issues with the UUCMS centralized software, which complicates even minor changes. Problems have been reported in obtaining registrations and mark sheets from the portal, with enrollment being delayed for four months after the PU results.
