BJP MP Tejasvi Surya has invited Bengaluru residents to provide feedback on Namma Metro to enhance the city’s public transportation system. In a recent X post on Tuesday, Surya expressed his commitment to improving metro travel in the city, highlighting the importance of accessible and convenient transport for residents. He encouraged people to share their suggestions on where additional feeder buses might be needed or how existing services could be improved.
Surya has also made his email address available for public feedback, urging residents to send their thoughts to [email protected]. He promised to bring these suggestions to the attention of Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) and Bengaluru Metro Transportation Corporation (BMTC) to drive necessary improvements.
Among the feedback received, techie Siddarth Pai suggested the development of a contactless, user-friendly app that integrates BMTC and Bangalore Metro services, allowing users to purchase tickets and enter stations via QR codes or NFC. Another user proposed implementing electric autos for last-mile connectivity, recommending battery-operated autos run by the metro for short distances, with nominal or free charges, to enhance accessibility for metro commuters.
