Renowned 90s actress Meenakshi Seshadri, known for her grace and elegance, recently shared a video on Instagram celebrating the Indian concept of ‘Shringaar’, which she describes as ‘intrinsic to the culture of femininity’. Meenakshi, famous for films like ‘Damini’ and ‘Shahenshah’, posted a reel showcasing herself in a stunning red and white Kanjeevaram saree.

The 60-year-old actress paired the saree with a matching white blouse. Her makeup featured nude brown glossy lips, kohl-rimmed eyes, highlighted facial points, and a small red bindi. She styled her hair in a curly, messy bun adorned with a gajra. Meenakshi accessorized with gold jhumkas, and red and gold bangles, holding a ghungroo in her hands.

In the caption, Meenakshi wrote: From the beginning of time, women have always been captured as beauty personified. In India, Shringaar is intrinsic to the culture of femininity. She collaborated with photographer Thushal in Dallas, US, choosing a simple yet classic Kanjeevaram saree. She described the look as celebrating the beauty of Indian women, emphasizing the significance of ankle bells for classical dancers.

Meenakshi expressed pride in India’s diverse textile heritage, recalling the fond memory of her mother gifting her the saree before her marriage. She dedicated the video to all women who have received sarees from their mothers. Professionally, Meenakshi has starred in films like ‘Allah Rakha’, ‘Dacait’, ‘Gangaa Jamunaa Saraswati’, and many others.
