Must read

2024 has been a turbulent year for Tamil cinema, with many big releases facing delays and schedule changes. There were concerns about Vijay’s upcoming film ‘GOAT’ possibly being delayed from its September 5 release date. However, the makers have now cleared the air with an official announcement on social media.

They revealed a countdown poster for ‘GOAT,’ confirming that the high-budget drama is just 50 days away from its global theatrical release. The film will hit screens in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and for the first time, in English as well, as announced by Venkat Prabhu.

Described as a time-travel fantasy, ‘GOAT,’ or ‘The Greatest Of All Time,’ stars Vijay in dual roles spanning generations—possibly linking past and future. Meenakshi Chaudhary and Sneha play pivotal roles alongside a star-studded ensemble cast including Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Laila, Ajmal, Premgi Amaren, and Vaibhav. Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing the music, with Siddharth Nuni handling cinematography.

Filming for ‘GOAT’ has wrapped up, and the team is currently focused on post-production, which includes extensive VFX work overseen by a Hollywood team to ensure a top-tier cinematic experience.
