BJP MP Ramesh Jigajinagi stated that his name was not recommended by BJP functionaries in the state for induction into the Union cabinet, despite his seventh consecutive election win. Speaking at a felicitation event by the district BJP, he mentioned facing opposition during the Lok Sabha elections but was elected by the voters. Expressing emotion, he pledged to continue serving people and party workers tirelessly. He acknowledged the support received over his 45-year political career and vowed to work for those who supported him selflessly.

Jigajinagi affirmed his loyalty to BJP since joining in 2004 and clarified that he never sought power from any leader. He called for a CBI inquiry into the Valmiki development corporation case if the government is innocent.
