A protest will be held in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office on November 21 or 22, demanding action on the Waqf issue. BJP State General Secretary Pritam Gowda stated that the party will accept the report on the matter.
Speaking at a media conference, Gowda explained that thousands of affected people, including farmers, will participate in the protest, which will run from morning to evening. The party will review the situation on a district-by-district basis to understand the seriousness of the issue.
The state president has announced the formation of three teams to address the concerns. One team, led by Vijayendra, will include Leader of Opposition R. Ashok, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, and other key figures. These teams will travel to districts across the state to hear the problems of farmers, monks, and the public. The issues raised will be presented in the upcoming Belgaum session, and a real report will be provided.
Each team will visit at least 8-10 districts, including former Chief Ministers like DV Sadananda Gowda, Basavaraja Bommai, and other significant leaders. The teams aim to highlight the problems in the legislative assembly. The visits are scheduled to begin in the first week of December. A large protest will also be organized in Belagavi during the session to further address the concerns of farmers.
State leaders, including Tammesh Gowda, Ashwathanarayan, Dr Narendra Rangappa, and GS Prashant, were also present at the conference.
