Ahan Shetty is preparing for his next film, ‘Sanki,’ produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, which is set to release on Valentine’s Day 2025. However, there have been few updates on the film’s shooting schedule. Recently, rumors emerged that the production was delayed due to Ahan’s high entourage costs.
In response, the official X account of Nadiadwala Grandson addressed these claims, stating, we are starting Sanki on 18th August. We urge all media outlets to verify information with us before publishing.
Previously, Bollywood Hungama reported that Sajid promised Suniel Shetty to give Ahan another chance after his debut film ‘Tadap’ underperformed. To support Ahan, Sajid decided to cast Pooja Hegde, his ‘Housefull 4’ star, opposite him in ‘Sanki,’ believing this would help boost Ahan’s career.
However, Sajid began having doubts about the film due to unfavorable market conditions affecting satellite and digital rights sales. While he managed to secure a bulk deal for the digital rights, the satellite rights did not meet his expectations.
The reports suggested that Ahan’s entourage, which included expenses for hair, make-up, stylists, and trainers, was charged to the production, leading Sajid to consider canceling the project. Suniel Shetty intervened, asking Sajid to continue and even offering to help cover some costs.
Ahan Shetty, the son of Bollywood star Suniel Shetty, made his acting debut in 2021 with ‘Tadap,’ which received mixed reviews.
