Minister Krishna Byregowda has instructed officials to expand the Anywhere Registration system, initially launched in Bangalore, to all districts by August. He convened a meeting at his office in Vikasa Soudha during the assembly session on Tuesday to discuss the extension. Byregowda emphasized the need to reduce crowding at deputy registrar offices, stating that it exploits common people. The system, which aims to streamline document registration and ease public access, has already been piloted successfully in Belagavi and Tumakuru districts since March 14 this year.

Byregowda set a phased implementation plan, targeting four districts in August and September, with plans to expand to eight districts in subsequent months. He directed officials to ensure statewide coverage by the end of the year. The Anywhere Registration system is designed to eliminate delays in document registration, reduce office wait times, and alleviate staff workloads at sub-registrar offices.

Present at the meeting were V Rashmi Mahesh, Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department (Disaster Management), and KA Dayananda, Inspector General overseeing the Registration and Stamps Department.
