Veteran Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, currently enjoying the success of his film ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ has nearly confirmed that his son, Abhishek Bachchan, will star in the upcoming Shah Rukh Khan film ‘King.’ On Tuesday, Amitabh shared a tweet from an Abhishek fan club on his social media, which mentioned Abhishek playing a negative role in ‘King,’ alongside SRK’s daughter, Suhana Khan.
The tweet praised Abhishek’s past performances in antagonistic roles in ‘Breathe: Into the Shadows,’ ‘Raavan,’ and ‘Bob Biswas,’ expressing confidence in his ability to excel in ‘King.’ Amitabh responded with, ‘All the best Abhishek, it is time.’
This isn’t the first time Amitabh has hinted at his family’s film projects. Previously, he shared details about ‘The Archies,’ which starred his grandson Agastya Nanda and Suhana Khan.
‘King’ will be Suhana’s second film following the mixed reception of ‘The Archies,’ which critics panned for its theme and execution.
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and produced by Siddharth Anand, ‘King’ is expected to begin filming later this year, with a potential release in 2025.
