BBMP Gears Up For Independence Day Celebrations

Bengaluru: Tushar Giri Nath, Chief Commissioner of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), chaired a preparatory meeting at auditorium-01 of the corporation headquarters on Thursday to organize the upcoming Independence Day celebrations. He issued clear directives to ensure seamless execution of the event across various departments.

During the meeting, Nath instructed officials to meticulously handle responsibilities related to the parade ground seating arrangements, entry gate management, parking logistics, route alterations, and other essential arrangements. He highlighted the need for provisions such as drinking water, adequate toilet facilities, and CCTV surveillance to uphold security and prevent any untoward incidents during the event.

Nath stressed the importance of cultural programs, highlighting the selection of appropriate teams for performances of the national anthem and farmers’ anthem. He also mandated the deployment of medical staff, ambulances, and necessary medicines to provide swift first aid assistance.

The meeting was attended by Special Commissioner Dr. K. Harish Kumar, Suralkar Vikas Kishore, Preeti Gehlot, Zonal Commissioner Dr. R.L. Deepak, Karigowda, Snehal, Vinod Priya, Bengaluru City Deputy Commissioner Danayand, and representatives from the Public Works Department, Police Department, Kannada and Culture Department, among others.
