Lok Adalat On July 13, Settlement Of Cases Through Conciliation: Justice Manjunath Naik

The Principal District and Sessions Judge, Manjunath Naik, urged the public to participate actively in the upcoming Lok Adalat program scheduled for July 13. The appeal was made during a press conference held at the district court hall to provide details about the event.
Naik stated that the Lok Adalat, organized under the guidance of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi, and State Legal Services Authority, Bangalore, aims to facilitate the swift resolution of various civil and criminal cases. These include civil disputes, matrimonial matters, motor accident compensation cases, bounced check disputes, negotiable criminal cases, and cases under Section 6 of the Hindu Succession Act pending in all Courts of Shivamogga district.
Currently, there are 55,112 pending cases across all courts in the district as of July 1. Of these, 14,926 cases have been identified for settlement during the National Lok Adalat on July 13, with additional cases slated for conciliation in the near future.
The District Legal Services Authority periodically conducts legal awareness programs to educate the public about relevant laws and provide assistance to those in need. Member Secretary MS Santosh Kumar was also present at the press conference to support these initiatives.
