The Soladevanahalli police station achieved a significant breakthrough with the arrest of a man involved in multiple two-wheeler theft cases, resulting in the recovery of eight vehicles valued at approximately ₹4 lakh.
The incident began on 23rd May when a complainant reported the theft of his Bajaj Discovery two-wheeler, which was parked in front of his friend’s house at Chikkabanwar. Upon returning from work the same evening, he discovered the vehicle missing, prompting the registration of a theft case at Soladevanahalli police station.
Following extensive investigation and information gathered from informants, the police arrested a suspect on 05.07.2024 at Acharya College Road. During interrogation, the suspect confessed to his involvement in the theft, leading the police to seize seven stolen two-wheelers from an empty place in MSPP layout. Additionally, one more stolen two-wheeler was recovered from the suspect’s possession, bringing the total seized vehicles to eight.
On 06 July, the accused was presented before the Court, which ordered him remanded to judicial custody.
This operation was resolved the theft case reported at Soladevanahalli police station and also uncovered connections to five other two-wheeler theft cases from various police stations, including Yelahanka Newtown, Mykolayout, and Tumkur New Badwane police stations, totaling six cases overall.
