The shooting for actor Pruthvi Ambaar’s upcoming pan-India movie Chowkidaar has begun with a simple muhurtha ceremony at Bande Mahakali temple. Directed by Chandrasekhar Bandiyappa, known for Rathavara, the film features Dhanya Ramkumar as the female lead.
Director Bandiyappa shared, this is my sixth film releasing in multiple languages. After the success of ‘Rathavara,’ I was offered another action film. Pruthvi, usually seen in romantic roles, was eager to take on this different story. His preparation and enthusiasm for the role are commendable.
Pruthvi Ambaar commented, When I first heard the story, I knew I needed to put in a lot of effort and asked for time to prepare. We shot the teaser in one day, which was a lot of fun. ‘Chowkidaar’ blends unique family elements and life experiences, capturing the essence of its title.
Veteran actor Saikumar, who plays a prominent role, expressed his joy, stating, Next year marks my 50th year as an actor, thanks to my parents. My mother insisted I act in Kannada movies, and my Kannada journey has now spanned 30 years. Every role is a challenge, and currently, I am involved in fifteen movies. The glimpse of Chandrasekhar’s film looks promising.
The film’s music is composed by Sachin Basrur, with lyrics by Nagendra Prasad and Pramod Maravante.
