RTI activist Snehamayi Krishna has lodged a complaint against Urban Development Minister Byrathi Suresh and former Lokayukta Superintendent of Police Sajith concerning a missing file at the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The complaint has been submitted to the State Director General of Police, Alok Mohan, urging an investigation into the matter.
The issue arose after a search warrant was issued by the Lokayukta, prompting a raid on the MUDA office on June 26. However, Sajith informed Minister Byrathi Suresh about the impending raid. Following this, Suresh reportedly arrived in Mysuru by helicopter and removed several important files from MUDA.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah subsequently held a press conference at Vidhansouda using the documents taken. The complaint emphasizes the need for a serious investigation into these actions, particularly citing Sajith’s transfer to Bangalore shortly after the incident as evidence of collusion. The activist is calling for appropriate legal action to be taken against those involved.
