Devara Part 1 hit theaters on September 27 and has already grossed Rs 225 crore in just eight days. Although its box office numbers are gradually declining, the film has been deemed a commercial success. In a recent interview with sources, actor Jr NTR provided an exciting update on the sequel. He mentioned that the team is ahead of schedule, having already filmed several scenes. However, with the success of the first part, he stressed the importance of taking their time with the sequel.
Jr NTR emphasized the need for director Kortala Siva to take a break before diving into the next installment. He explained that this pause is crucial for the entire team to ensure they deliver an even better sequel. The cast will take extra time to develop Devara 2, aiming for a more polished product.
He also mentioned that the screenplay for the sequel is still in the works and that he plans to give Kortala a month off in a fun location away from Hyderabad. This time off will help the director recharge and refocus before tackling Devara 2.
Devara Part 1 features Jr NTR in dual roles, portraying a protector of his people, with Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and Saif Ali Khan as the villain. Bobby Deol will join the cast as the antagonist in the second part.
