Stray Dog Attack Leaves Four-Year-Old Boy Injured

The incident at Sulibele village in Hoskote taluk, a four-year-old boy named Awaaz Basha was viciously attacked by stray dogs on Monday, resulting in severe injuries to his cheek. The child, currently under treatment, has been advised by doctors to be shifted to a hospital in Bengaluru for further medical care.

According to reports, young Awaaz was accompanying his friends to a nearby shop when the stray dogs pounced on them, causing the grievous injury. Fortunately, local residents promptly intervened and rescued the child from further harm.

Sabir Baig, a member of the gram panchayat, expressed grave concern over the rising population of stray dogs in the village, particularly along the route where the incident occurred. He highlighted that the presence of four schools nearby has escalated fears among locals regarding the safety of children who traverse the area daily.

The increase in stray dog numbers is alarming and poses a serious threat to our community, especially our children,” Baig highlighted, urging immediate measures to address the issue and curb the growing menace of stray dogs in Sulibele village.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this harrowing incident, efforts are underway to ensure the safety of residents, particularly vulnerable children, from such incidents in the future.
