Approval For Construction Of Bridge, Barrage At Rs 39.80Cr

Approval and funding have been granted by the government for the construction of infrastructure projects in various villages of Yalaburga and Kukanoor taluks. In Nana village, Yalaburga taluk, plans include building a bridge dam on the road, while in Nittali village, Jinugu lake will see development initiatives.

A total of Rs 39.80 crore has been allocated for projects in Kukanoor, Yalaburga taluk. This includes the construction of the Hallake Bridge Cum Barrage across 11 villages and the development of Jinugu Lake in Nittali village. The commencement of work is pending the initiation of a tender process.

MLA Basavaraja Rayaraddi, the Chief Minister’s Economic Adviser, proposed these initiatives to enhance water resources through bridges, barrages, and lake development for wells. The construction of the Bridge Cum Barrage aims to regulate water flow in fields, potentially raising groundwater levels. Additionally, the government aims to ensure safer road connectivity with the released grants.Specific projects include Rs 9.90 crore Bridge Cum Barrage between Balageri-Noodagumpa villages in Kukanoor taluk, Rs 2.50 crore check dam and bridge between Sidnekoppa and Yarehanchina, and Rs 3.20 crore Check Dam Cum Bridge project for the ditch between Mannapura and Malekoppa village. Furthermore, Rs 2.75 crore grant has been approved for the Barlageri pit between Talakalla-Komalapur. These initiatives signify the government’s commitment to enhancing local infrastructure and water management in the region.
