Car Overturns Into Roadside Drain, Elderly Woman Returning Home After Ayodhya Yatra Dies

An elderly woman who was returning home after a trip to Ayodhya was killed when the driver lost control and the car fell into a ditch on the roadside. Two others were seriously injured in the incident which took place near Seige village of the district.
The wife of Yogesh owner of gold jewelery shop and Channamma Nanjegowda Choultry in Halebid, Indu (67) died. Her husband Yogeesh and the driver Kiran were admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. She had returned to Bangalore after going to Ayodhya and her husband Yogeesh was bringing her home in his car from Bangalore Airport on Monday.
The car overturned and fell into a roadside drain near Seege village. Indu was seriously injured and died on the spot. A case has been registered at Hassan Rural Police Station
