Warplane Museum, Closed Shortly After Its Inauguration

Coastal city Karwar is quite famous for its wide beach. Many attractive places here are entertaining the tourists. In this regard, a fighter plane was brought here to make a museum. It was also alleged that they are showing negligence by not inaugurating this warplane. The fighter jet was inaugurated on Sunday and is not only available for tourist viewing.
MLA Satish Sail inaugurated this fighter jet on Sunday. But they did not make any arrangements for tourists to see it and inaugurated it only on a pretense. There is no system in the warship including lights, AC. Inaugurated only as a gesture, was closed in no time. . Allegations have been heard from the public sector that despite Rs 2 crore the grant, it has not been made tourist friendly.
Not only this, the work was also lagging. This year, the district administration said that they will allow public viewing during the New Year celebrations. But none of the work was done properly.
Around Rs 2 crore has been sanctioned for the warplane museum work and Rs 20 lakh has been spent so far. There is still a lot of work to be done with the remaining money. It will be inaugurated only after they are done. But now after installation of AC and lights, public viewing will be allowed in a few days. Deputy Director of Tourism Department Jayant informed.
