In an incident following a family dispute, a man attacked and killed his aunt with a stick near Siddharthnagar, Hoskote. The attack occurred late at night on Monday.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Chandramma from Dommasandra, was returning from a temple visit when her nephew, Venkatesh, intercepted her and assaulted her. After striking her on the head with a stick, Venkatesh fled the scene.
Despite being rushed to a private hospital in Bengaluru, Chandramma succumbed to her injuries. The Hoskote police, along with Bengaluru Rural SP Mallikarjun Baladandi, conducted an inspection at the crime scene. The altercation is believed to have stemmed from a family dispute. Authorities are actively searching for Venkatesh.
