Accusing the BJP of plotting against the people of Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi claimed on Sunday that former South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri, accompanied by some associates, attacked the Delhi Jal Board office in Chhatarpur amidst the ongoing water crisis gripping the national capital.

The water scarcity in Delhi has sparked widespread protests, vandalism, and intense political clashes across the city. According to Atishi, BJP workers vandalized the Delhi Jal Board office in the Chhatarpur area on Sunday.

Addressing a press conference in Delhi, Atishi asserted, Delhi is facing severe heat right now. Despite these difficult circumstances, the BJP is relentlessly troubling the people of Delhi. They are hatching a conspiracy against us, which has three parts. Firstly, the BJP-led Haryana government is blocking water supply to Delhi, leaving Wazirabad Water Treatment Plant dry.

She further alleged that pipelines carrying water from Delhi’s treatment plants were deliberately damaged as part of the BJP’s conspiracy. The BJP leaders arrive at the scene of broken pipelines, take photos, and publicize them. Just yesterday, the pipeline supplying water from Sonia Vihar to South Delhi was found broken. Was this deliberate? Such incidents don’t occur naturally; this is part of their plan, Atishi claimed. She accused BJP workers, including Bidhuri, of throwing pots and vandalizing the Delhi Jal Board office in Chhatarpur.
