Tirunelveli

According to reports, the CPM office in the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu was vandalized because it encouraged intercaste marriage.
The young woman’s family is said to have carried out the attack because they allegedly assisted in the marriage of a Dalit young man and an upper caste young woman.
In relation to this incident, the police have so far detained eight persons.
For six years, Madan from Palayangottai’s Arunthathiyar caste and Dakshaini from Perumalpuram’s Pillai group had been in love. The CPM approached the couple and asked for their participation because the girl’s family disapproved of their inter-caste union.
Dhakshaini’s family stormed the CPM office after her wedding. Following the event, the police arrived at the party office right away. Social media users are sharing videos of the Dhakshaini family smashing down the office door. This is where the co-accused gets into a fight with the police.
Eight suspects who were detained at the station have been subjected to preliminary questioning by the Tirunelveli Deputy Commissioner of Police.
The girl’s family reported her missing to the Perumalpuram police station in the interim. When the young woman’s family learned that the newlyweds were at the CPM office, they hurried to the party office and conducted a search. As a result, there was a fight between the girl’s family and the CPM office bearers. It is later said to have been the reason behind the office’s demolition.
