Ashraya Hastha Trust – A not for profit organization in partnership with other NGOs Mantra and Suriya foundation have dispatched a consignment of medical equipment’s to support the critical and emergency medical needs in the remote area of Macchal sector – Kashmir.
The Equipment’s airlifted include Oxygen concentrators , Hospital beds , Digital stethoscope , BP Machines , OT light , OT table & other equipment’s to support in setting up a Operation theatre . The area along the LOC is remote and the nearest hospital accessible is around 3-4 hours away. This support to the health unit set up by Indian army will help civilians who get wounded by shelling across the border and also serve pregnant women for emergencies. The initiative was flagged off by Founder of Ashraya Hastha trust and Co-founder of Infosys Mr. K. Dinesh & his family.
Ashraya Hastha trust has worked extensively during both the lockdowns induced by Covid and has distributed food packets , ration kits , masks , sanitizers , oxygen generation plants and other medical equipment’s to strengthen healthcare infrastruture across the country . They have also set up oxygen beds along the Myanmar border of Nagaland , Manipur which is now used by people of both India and Myanmar and in the remote northern point of Andaman and Nicobar islands where there is very less access to health care facility.
