In the third and final T20I between England Women and Pakistan Women, left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone set a new record for the fastest woman to reach 100 ODI wickets. Ecclestone took three wickets in her 4.1-over spell, conceding just 15 runs on Wednesday. She achieved this milestone in only 64 matches, equalling Australian legend Cathryn Fitzpatrick but surpassing her in the number of innings bowled (63).
In the match recap, Nat Sciver-Brunt’s stellar all-round performance led England Women to a dominant 178-run victory over Pakistan Women at the County Ground in Chelmsford. This win secured a 3-0 series whitewash for England.
Batting first, England posted a formidable total of 302 for 5 in their 50 overs. Sciver-Brunt top-scored with an unbeaten 124 off 117 balls, hitting 14 fours and two sixes. Danielle Wyatt (44 off 42), Alice Capsey (39 off 42), and Maia Boucher (34 off 33) also made valuable contributions.
For Pakistan, Umm-e-Hani was the standout bowler, taking two wickets for 47 runs in her 10 overs. Diana Baig, Nida Mir, and Fatima Sana each took one wicket.
Chasing 303, Pakistan was all out for just 124 in 29.1 overs, with only Muneeba Ali (47 off 55) and Aliya Riaz (36 off 41) reaching double figures. For England, besides Ecclestone’s three wickets, Lauren Bell and Sciver-Brunt each took two, while Kate Cross and Charlotte Dean took one apiece.
