The Bangalore City Police hosted the “Monthly Public Relations Day” event at the IIIT College Auditorium on Saturday, aiming to enhance communication and understanding between law enforcement and the community.

Commissioner B. Dayananda highlighted proactive engagement with the public, signaling a commitment to transparency and collaboration in addressing community concerns.

Underscoring the importance of adhering to traffic laws, Dayananda issued a stern warning against driving by minors. He stressed the need to recognize the scientific basis behind age restrictions for driving licenses, citing concerns about the maturity level of young drivers.

The Commissioner’s remarks were punctuated by a reference to a tragic accident in Pune involving a minor driving a luxury car, serving as a poignant reminder of the potential consequences of underage driving. He underscored that such cases would be treated seriously, with legal action not only against minors but also their parents.

Addressing community feedback, Dayananda responded to concerns about the radar installed in Parappa’s Agrahara Central Jail. His approach highlighted the Bangalore City Police’s commitment to responsiveness and exploring technological solutions to mitigate disturbances.
