BJP Dakshina Kannada district spokesperson Rajgopal Rai alleged that an atmosphere of fear prevails in Karnataka, and that development works have come to a halt in the state.
He informed media persons that attacks on women continue in Karnataka, even as the government has failed to control the law and order situation in the state.
The home minister has no capacity to control the law and order situation.

Vote bank politics is the reason for the government’s failure. There is an increase in the number of crimes against women in the state. Neha and Anjali were murdered in Hubballi, and a woman was paraded naked in Belagavi. Meanwhile, communal forces and criminal elements have pushed Karnataka towards hooliganism, he alleged.
Stating that the state is not safe under the Congress government, Rai sought the resignation of Home Minister G Parameshwara.  The BJP will hold protests seeking the resignation of the home minister, he added.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has urged the state government led by Siddaramaiah to consider the recent murders of Hindu girls in Hubballi and Kodagu seriously, and to take stern action against the miscreants.
VHP leader Sharan Pumpwell said that the murder of two girls in Hubballi and a girl in Kodagu has sent shockwaves among the people of Karnataka.  Society needs to be cautious against such brutal acts. Earlier, Hindu youths were being murdered in Siddaramaiah’s administration in the state, and now even girls are not safe under the Congress government. There is no safety for women in Karnataka after Congress came to power. The police should take stern action against the miscreants, he added.
