The Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) have issued an advisory regarding the commencement of cable laying work by the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) within the jurisdiction of the Bellandur Traffic Police Station. The cable laying operation, slated to kick off from Salarpuria Soft Zone on the Ibbalur service road towards Centro Mall in Bellandur, is anticipated to cause traffic congestion. Scheduled to be carried out daily from 11:00 PM to 06:00 AM, the work is expected to impact traffic flow significantly.

Commuters are urged to explore alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly to mitigate potential congestion. Authorities have appealed to road users to cooperate during this period to ensure smooth traffic movement.

Meanwhile, in a positive development for commuters, Neeladri Road to BHEL Electronics City Link Road has undergone substantial repairs, alleviating long-standing issues of potholes and waterlogging. The road, spanning approximately 1 kilometer and catering to around 10,000 to 15,000 people and 6,000 vehicles daily, has been a preferred route for tech professionals due to lower traffic volume compared to other routes like Nice Road or Hosur Road.

Recognizing the deteriorating condition of the road, the Electronics City Industrial Township Authority (ELCITA) allocated over Rs 16.2 crore for its renovation. CKPC Properties, under their Business Park initiative, undertook the project, which commenced in June 2023 and concluded in January 2024. The road, now meeting international standards, incorporates features such as drains to manage rainwater, culverts, and a dedicated pedestrian walkway to prevent future issues like waterlogging and ensure safety for all users.
