New Delhi, PTI

The BJP responded to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remarks on conducting Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that it shattered the false narrative propagated by the NC, PDP, and other opposition parties. Earlier, PM Modi, during a rally in Udhampur, assured that Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir were imminent, along with the restoration of its statehood.

Ashish Sood, BJP’s co-in charge for the Union Territory, commended the PM’s commitment to early elections in Jammu and Kashmir. He criticized leaders from the National Conference, People’s Democratic Party, and others for spreading misinformation about the BJP-led Centre’s stance on holding elections. Sood emphasized that the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir was normal, contrary to the claims of Abdullahs, Muftis, and others. He reiterated PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah’s assurance of conducting elections once conditions permit.

Sood underscored PM Modi’s reliability in fulfilling promises, asserting that elections in Jammu and Kashmir were guaranteed by Modi, despite opposition skepticism from the Muftis, Abdullahs, and Gandhis.
