District Election Officer Tushar Giri Nath, along with the Chief Commissioner, conducted inspections at three training venues for polling officers in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Sunday.
The first stop was Dr. BR Ambedkar Medical College in Hebbal, where Master Trainers provided detailed insights into polling day activities, emphasizing the importance of thorough training.
Handbooks were distributed to presiding officers and assistant presiding officers, facilitating clarity on their roles, while practical demonstrations on the functioning of VV Pat, Control Unit, and Ballot Unit were conducted. The inspection continued at the Government Arts College in Shivajinagar, where Nath highlighted the availability of polling officer handbooks on official websites. Appreciation was extended for the organized training setup, with scrutiny of the food service area.
The final visit took place at Seshadripuram College in Yelahanka, with Nath urging officers to familiarize themselves with election guidelines. Over 20,000 officers have been tasked with election duties, highlighting the need for proficiency in procedures. Assistant Returning Officer Pramod Patil, Registrar of Voters, Master Trainers, and polling officers participated in the inspection, ensuring comprehensive training and adherence to election protocols.
