A statement was made by the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister indicating plans to dismantle JD(S) wherever it exists. Meanwhile, HD Deve Gowda, former Prime Minister, emphasized the need to demonstrate the party’s strength across the state, including in Hassan. This statement came during the nomination filing event for his grandson, Prajwal Revanna, who is a candidate for the NDA.
Addressing a large gathering near the Hemavathi statue, Deve Gowda spoke about the party’s limited presence in only three locations within the state. He mentioned aligning with BJP to challenge Congress and vowed to confront Congress on three fronts.
The rally saw speeches from BJP MLA Hullahalli Suresh, JD(S) MLAs A. Manju and CN Balakrishna, as well as former MLA YSV Dutta. Additionally, former Minister HD Revanna, MLA HP Swarup Prakash, MLC Dr. Suraj Revanna, and others were present, along with JD(S) District President KS Lingesh and State Vokkaligara Sangha Director SS Raghu Gowda. Amit Shah expressed support for ongoing adjustments with BJP, while stressing the desire for Modi’s return as Prime Minister.
