During a meeting of District BJP functionaries and workers held in the city on Wednesday, State BJP General Secretary Prithangowda urged leaders to refrain from mentioning Prajwal Revanna’s name and instead adhere to BJP leaders’ instructions. This directive was followed by others.

In the district, oppression and exploitation will not be tolerated, said Pritangowda. All tasks and instructions will be followed as given. The purpose of the national-level alliance is acknowledged. Despite the BJP-JD(S) special coordination meeting being conducted, local BJP leaders are unwilling to yield to the directives of JD(S) leaders. A message was conveyed during the party’s district office bearers and workers meeting that their focus remains solely on supporting Modi.

Prithangowda emphasized the collective effort towards ensuring Narendra Modi’s re-election as Prime Minister for the third time, leading the NDA coalition. He expressed unwavering confidence in Modi’s candidacy, likening it to the certainty of the sun and moon shining.

He encouraged everyone to work diligently, citing past electoral successes such as winning four seats in 1999 despite earlier political setbacks where BJP candidates failed to even secure their deposits. He also referenced instances like Yediyurappa’s ascension to Chief Ministership in 2008, attributing it to political shifts that garnered 110 seats.

Reflecting on personal experiences, Prithangowda recounted his journey as an MLA from BJP in 2018, emphasizing collaborative efforts towards party-building within the district.
