K’taka Food and Civil Supplies Corpn. manager found dead in apparent suicide

A Wholesale Store Manager with the Karnataka Food and Civil Supplies Corporation (KFCSC) R Ravikumar (59), was found dead in an apparent suicide. Ravikumar had been overseeing the supply of essential food items, including rice, to various taluk societies, hostels, and schools.
Originally from Devanahalli in Sira Taluk, Ravikumar had been living in a rented house behind Omkar Hospital on Mayasandra Road in Turuvekere, while his family resided in Tumakuru.
On Tuesday morning, when calls to him went unanswered, Ravikumar’s wife went to check on him. Suspecting something was wrong, she entered the house, where she found he had taken his own life. The precise reason behind his death is yet to be determined.
Local police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
