Ministerial post aspirants in BJP are likely to receive a good news soon. It is said that BJP national president J P Nadda has agreed for expansion of cabinet. The nominations for posts that are vacant is likely to happen towards end of April.

The core committee meeting of BJP was held after the completion of state executive meeting. Later, chief minister  Basavaraj Bommai met Nadda in the hotel and discussed about the expansion for nearly half an hour.

At present, five cabinet minister posts are vacant and there are more than 15 aspirants. CM Bommai appealed to Nadda to allow restructuring of the cabinet so that all aspirants can be accommodated. However, it is learnt that Nadda has denied restructuring and advised Bommai to just fill the five posts.

It is said that cabinet birth will be given based on calculations of caste and region with a view of upcoming assembly elections.

It is also said that Nadda has asked the BJP MLAs and party leaders to work hard to bring the party back in power in the state. He said that in all other states where BJP has formed government once, it has regained power except Karnataka. Hence, he has asked all leaders to ensure victory in at least 150 constituencies.

Nadda appreciated the style of working of CM Bommai. He said that he likes the administration capability of Bommai.
