Hubli Airport To Become World-Class, PM Lays Foundation Stone For New Terminal In Two Days

PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the construction of the new terminal building of Hubli Airport on March 10 as per the wish of Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi. At 12 noon on that day, he will lay the foundation stone of the terminal virtually from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.

Airports Authority of India has undertaken airport development. Managing Director of the Airport Manoj Shekaran said that steps are being taken to make it a world-class airport.

Minister Prahlad Joshi had held talks with the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Airports Authority of India to make the Hubli airport world-class. The Airport Authority has invited Minister Joshi to participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new terminal of Hubli Airport and provide necessary guidance for the development of the station.

Hubli today is not only the gateway to North Karnataka but also a major commercial hub. So on March 10, Minister Joshi had announced during the launch of the development bird’s eye view book of   Lok Sabha constituency that Bhumi Puja will be performed for another terminal at a cost of Rs 350 crore.
