Murudeshwar
On the occasion of Mahashivaratri, thousands of devotees visited Murdeshwar on Friday and offered special puja. One of the Panchkshetras of Lord Shiva, devotees were allowed to have darshan from 3 o’clock in the morning on the occasion of Shivaratri, and a queue was seen till the outside of the temple.
Religious functions were held in the temple on the occasion of Shivratri. Rudrabhishekam, Jalabhishekam, Bilvapatra Archane and other rituals were performed for Lord Shiva. Devotees who visited Murudeshwar took a sea bath and offered special prayers to the deity with anointing in various forms. Crowds gathered around the beach and the temple.
