Former Minister and MLA Bhairati Basavaraj addressed the issue of cross voting by MLAs Shivram Hebbar and ST Somashekhar in the Rajya Sabha elections, stating that they appear to be acting according to their personal convenience. Basavaraj revealed that he had spoken with them regarding the matter, but they maintained their stance, expressing dissatisfaction with the current situation.

Reflecting on his decision to join the BJP with his friend Muniratna, Basavaraj emphasized that they aligned with the party’s philosophy and have been treated with respect within the BJP. He asserted that there is no need to consider joining another party. Basavaraj mentioned that their focus is on winning 28 constituencies in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, as people are eager to vote for the BJP.

Regarding the alleged offer of Rs 50 crore to MLAs, Basavaraj stated that he is unaware if such an offer was made. He pledged to address factional politics within the BJP and work towards the party’s victory in the district. Basavaraj expressed satisfaction with his role as an in-charge, stating that he has diligently carried out his responsibilities. He concluded by affirming his commitment to organizing meetings to foster unity and ensure the BJP’s success in the upcoming elections.
