The IndiaAI Independent Business Division (IBD), part of the Digital India Corporation under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, announced the IndiaAI Innovation Challenge on Friday. This initiative invites participation from Indian innovators, startups, non-profits, students, research organizations, and businesses.

The challenge aims to promote the development and adoption of AI solutions that can drive significant socio-economic changes. Winners of the challenge will receive up to ₹1 crore and the chance to implement their solutions on a national level.

Key focus areas include healthcare, governance, agriculture, assistive technology for learning disabilities, and climate change management. In healthcare, participants are encouraged to innovate in areas like enhanced diagnostics and early disease detection using AI. For agriculture, AI-powered tools can help farmers with crop advice and financial services.

Additionally, the challenge seeks to develop assistive technologies for learning disabilities, providing tools for early detection and multimedia accessibility. Innovations for climate resilience, such as AI-based early warning systems, are also welcomed.

This challenge is part of the Applications Development Initiative within the IndiaAI Mission, which aims to expand the reach and impact of AI across various sectors. The application deadline is September 30, and the mission focuses on democratizing AI benefits while ensuring ethical usage.
